Engineering is a wide work category that refers to professions that use mathematics and science to solve different problems. Engineers work in disciplines that include electrical, mechanical, civil, environmental, and chemical engineering, among others.

Engineer Educational Requirements

Most engineer positions need a minimum of bachelor’s degree in the engineering field associated with the job. However, certain positions (mainly in the materials engineering) only needed an associate degree or specialized apprenticeship training; these include different roles like stationary engineers, boiler engineers, and welding engineers.
